Super Mario 3D Land review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Super Mario 3D Land from Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. This isn't the first time Mario has proven a console's potential. This isn't the first time he's made every other game on a system seem like it wasn't even trying. This isn't the first spectacular Mario game, but it does feel special. Super Mario 3D Land isn't the best Mario game of all time, but we've got a flower and three mushrooms that say it's pretty close. The first major 3DS game developed by Nintendo that isn't a remake of a game from the last millennium, Super Mario 3D Land is an incredible release if only for the design expertise it displays. The genius of Super Mario 3D Land is its balance and how it incorporates nearly three decades of the plumber's evolution into a single experience...delightfully familiar, yet viewed from a whole new perspective. 3D Classics: Kid Icarus review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of 3D Classics: Kid Icarus, a downloadable game from Akira and Nintendo on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS. The NES classic Kid Icarus is the latest release under Nintendo's 3D Classics label, a series of retro games recreated on the 3DS with 3D graphics. You can find this game in the eShop, but if you pre ordered Kid Icarus: Uprising, it was a free gift from Nintendo. The gameplay has aged exceptionally well, and the new graphics are beautiful. Kid Icarus looks fantastic with its 3D facelift, not only because of the cool effect of 8 bit sprites popping off your screen, but also because the backgrounds have been tweaked. Paws & Claws Pampered Pets Resort 3D review.Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Paws & Claws Pampered Pets Resort 3D from THQ for the Nintendo 3DS. There's a clear Nintendogs element to this game, but it gives the formula a pretty unique spin. It would be wrong to say puppy petting doesn't make up the bulk of the experience in this game, but it also adds management and business simulation. You play as the owner of a brand new pet resort. People bring their pets to the resort, and after they're booked, you take care of them. You have to feed them, water them and bathe them. Once you've met each animal's needs, you can give them back to their abusive owner. And charge them. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D from Grezzo and Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. The first major release for Nintendo's budding handheld, Ocarina of Time 3D is a 3D port of the classic 1998 original, widely considered one of the greatest games of all-time. This is more a refinement than a remake, as Ocarina of Time 3D preserves the core Ocarina experience and makes only the most necessary of adjustments. Hyrule hasn't changed at all in the last 13 years, but it does look an awful lot different...and that's what Ocarina of Time 3D is all about.
